MINIMISE THE RISK OF FALLS FROM TRUCKS WITH SAFE LOADING ACCESS PLATFORMS - S.L.A.P.
Truck Access Platforms or Safe Loading Access Platform (SLAP) is a platform concept designed to enhance the safety of staff when unloading or restraining loads on truck trailers. Accessing truck trailers to restrain or release loads, or to do maintenance and repairs can be risky in some situations. No Bolt has designed Truck Access Platforms to reduce these access risks. These access platforms increase safety in the workplace and are suitable for a wide range of industries and applications.
The platforms are constructed from high-grade structural aluminium (6061-T6) utilising No Bolt’s exclusive tread design. This design overcomes the bowing commonly found in treads after prolonged use.
The result is a safe work platform that can be manufactured to suit any height and length requirement. Individual access platforms can be linked together to increase the length, offering even greater flexibility. The platforms can be fixed to the floor, but most users prefer the option of castors (swivel and lock) that provide the mobility needed in situations where space is an issue. The wheels can be securely locked to prevent the platform from moving. Yellow reflective paint strips affixed to the edges make users visually aware of the edge between the platform and the trailer. All platforms are built with 900mm handrails and can be fitted with further safety features such as self-closing gates and travel restraint systems.
No Bolt has thus far supplied truck access platforms ranging from 2 to 24 metres in length. Units can be purpose-built to suit individual applications.
